Joshua Tree
Joshua Tree National Park is an American public park in southeastern California, east of Los Angeles and San Bernardino, close to Palm Springs. It is named for the Yucca brevifolia local to the Mojave Desert. Initially announced a public landmark in 1936, Joshua Tree was redesignated as a public park in 1994 when the U.S. Congress passed the California Desert Protection Act.Encompassing an aggregate of 3,199.6 km2 – somewhat bigger than the territory of Rhode Island – the recreation center incorporates 671.4 sq mi; 1,738.9 km2 of assigned wild. Riding San Bernardino and Riverside Counties, the recreation center incorporates portions of two deserts, each an environment whose attributes are resolved principally by rise: the higher Mojave Desert and the lower Colorado Desert.
